Year 12 Economics - July Trial Preparation Workshop
Description of the program
Pinnacle Coaching is offering Trial Preparation Workshops in the July 2018 holidays. Our workshops will cover how to write Band 6 Short Answer responses as well as high quality well structured Essay responses. In addition, students will receive take home practice questions with sample responses and out of classroom support from our tutors leading up to their Trial HSC examination at school.
The workshops are presented by Pinnacle's dedicated Economics tutors, William Chen and Cassidy Que. They are both high achievers in HSC Economics and are currently studying Commerce at UNSW, bringing you a wealth of expertise on how to write Band 6 responses and the latest insight from University research.

Short Answer Writing Workshop - Saturday 21/07/2018 10:00am to 1:00pm
Essay Writing Workshop - Saturday 21/07/2018 2:00pm to 5:00pm
While students can choose to attend either workshop, students are encouraged to enrol in both workshops to maximise the effectiveness of their learning.
Within the Short Answer Writing sessions of the July Workshop, HSC style questions relating to Topic 1, 2 and 3 of the HSC economic syllabus will be used to assist students in understanding how to structure a comprehensive full mark response. Similarly, in the Essay writing sessions, Past HSC essay questions regarding Topic 1, 2 and 3 will be explored and used to assist students in understanding how to structure a Band 6 essay response.
Students attending the Yr 12 Economics Short Answer Writing Workshop will receive:
Selected short answer questions modelled on HSC questions with sample Band 6 responses.
Latest Statistics, trends, and comprehensive commentary/analysis on current economic events.
Take home practice questions to further enhance ability
Out of classroom support from tutors via email
Students attending the Yr 12 Economics Essay Writing Workshopwill receive:
Selected Band 6 HSC essay responses from High Achievers and State rankers.
Latest Statistics, trends, and comprehensive commentary/analysis on current economic events.

How HSC Economics students can benefit from this Workshop?
Students should attain comprehensive skills, techniques, and knowledge on how to confidently ace all three sections of the HSC Economics paper.
More specifically, these Workshops aim to teach students:
How to structure and integrate their comprehensive knowledge on economic concepts/ definitions/ correlations/ statistics into responses that meet the marking criteria of individual questions within the short answers section.
How to write comprehensive and sophisticated Economic Essay responses. This is extremely important as Essay responses comprise of 40% of both the Trials and the HSC examination. Both essay writing sessions within the holiday will support students in understanding how to integrate their in-depth knowledge of economics into well structured comprehensive essays.
How to sufficiently prepare and study for their upcoming Economics assessment, assignments, trial examinations and ultimately the HSC exam which all counts towards their final marks determining their ATAR.
