Motivational Quotes for the HSC

Finding it hard to stay on task during the HSC? Losing motivation? How about sticking or decorating your books and computers with a few of these motivational quotes to help keep you powering on? They just might make a difference during the times you feel like giving up!

The interpretations are entirely up to you; that's half the fun!

Believe

"Nothing is impossible. The word itself says I'm Possible." - Audrey Hepburn

"The greatest achievement was at first, and for a time, but a dream." - Napoleon Hill

"Just believe in yourself. Even if you don't, pretend that you do and, at some point, you will." - Venus Williams

Goal Setting

"The tragedy in life doesn’t lie in not reaching your goal. The tragedy lies in having no goal to reach." - Benjamin Mays

Failure

"Shoot for the moon. Even if you miss, you'll land among stars!" – Les Brown

"I didn’t fail the test. I just found 100 ways to do it wrong." – Benjamin Franklin

"He who asks is a fool for five minutes, but he who does not ask remains a fool forever." - Chinese Proverb

Persistence

"Genius is one percent inspiration and ninety-nine percent perspiration." - Thomas Edison

"Knowing trees, I understand the meaning of patience. Knowing grass, I can appreciate persistence." - Hal Borland

"Study while others are sleeping; work while others are loafing; prepare while others are playing; and dream while others are wishing." - William Arthur Ward

"Few minds wear out; most rust out." - Christian Nextell Bovee

"It’s not that I’m so smart, it’s just that I stay with problems longer." - Albert Einstein

Procrastination

"A year from now you'll wish you had started today" - Karen Lamb (or maybe when it's 12am the morning before an exam)

"Don’t wait. The time will never be just right." - Napoleon Hill

Whilst I hope these words (while cheesy) have motivated you,  it should be your inner desire to succeed in the HSC (and in life) that really makes a difference.

Although studying is important, don't forget about socialising, relaxing and enjoying the last year of high school! As Gandhi put it, "live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever."
